There has to be a better way to edit videos. That's what I said out loud on a walk, talking to my friend Leslie Samuel. Leslie is committed to creating a video vlog every single day, so he feels this one as much as I do. I told him, "I thought for sure Google could do this." So I got back to my office and asked Gemini, "Is this even possible?" And it said, well, we do have this thing called Google Vids. You drop in a video, it generates a transcript, and you effectively just chop out the sections you don't want. I'm like, "Oh!" Then I took it one step further and brought in Claude Cowork. Here's what you're seeing behind the scenes: an 18-minute video. It identified all the right clips. And it's going through, cutting out the bad stuff and cropping the good stuff for me. Automatically. Whoa. If there's a job you keep doing by hand because you assume that's just how it's done, go ask, "Is this even possible?" The answer surprised me.
