I've been an entrepreneur since 1996. That's 30 years of long hours, stress, and worrying about what's coming next. For most of that time, I carried this weight — anxiety about tomorrow. What's going to go wrong? How am I going to handle it? The mental load was constant. Then a couple of months ago, I really leaned into a verse I'd read a hundred times before. Matthew 6:34: "Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself." Simple, right? But when I actually started living it — just focusing on today — something shifted. Because here's what I noticed: the thing that feels impossible today? You get through it. And when you do, it changes what tomorrow looks like. Every single time. I'm not saying the struggles disappeared. The struggles are real. Anybody who runs a business knows that. But I stopped carrying tomorrow's problems on top of today's. And that brought a peace I hadn't felt in a long time. Focus on today. Tomorrow will take care of itself. This is Thoughts from the Porch. How do you deal with anxiety as an entrepreneur?
