I'm the producer, the actor, the editor, all the things. And I can't do this and be a CEO. That's where I was with this show. So I woke up and wondered, "Can I art direct Codex?" I combed through all the video footage from the conference. Found me walking across the stage. Found people standing up and cheering. Gave it the artwork we'd already made with ChatGPT and a little script I recorded. Then I directed. "Find the best segment here and the best segment here. Bring the audio up. I want the crowd cheering in the background. Come up with a really cool animation style." Half an hour later I had a bumper for my show. I showed it to Angus, and he said the thing I didn't see coming. It's not the time I got back. It's that the emotional weight of the editing is gone. What's left is the real work: what do I want to say, and who do I want to say it to? I can be the creator I was born to be and hand the cutting to AI. I've always known getting to 3,000 was possible.
